Last week we had an appointment with our womanly doctor (both in specialty and gender), and were told that things are apparently measuring a week later than was expected. Right now it's nothing to worry about, but it's possible that it means we'll end up with a big baby. With two parents at 6 feet tall, that's not too surprising. We'll know more next week when we go in for a sonogram.
When it comes down to it, this whole process is about an alien creature living within my wife. For this alien, we spend hours and hours doing crazy things that will hopefully result in a happy, healthy baby. This weekend was no different.
After much grunting and sweating, we were able to make room for little Max by turning our breakfast nook into a combination nook/den/general entertainment zone. It's...cozy.

The point of this crazy exercise was to steam clean three years of cat and shoes out of our carpet in anticipation of a crawling toddler. Sure, it's months off, but there's no time like the present. Next week I'll be building a new deck with my bare hands, wrestling alligators, and saving earth from giant robots. Then, lunch.
P.S. Hi, Tammy!
