Stuff Actually Happened This Week!

Last week was extremely quiet. This week, not so much. All sorts of stuff happened, both Max-related and not.

For the last couple of weeks, our Element has been in the shop, having its tailgate replaced after our fender-bender a couple of month ago. So, we've been a one-car (and a tiny car at that) family for a while. It's not bad, because we carpool anyway, but I think Jon finally agrees that the Civic is too tiny to carry us, Max and all of Max's future stuff! Luckily, we picked our "Lellie" up Wednesday afternoon.

Speaking of Max...

Today, we made another giant leap in our quest to create the most colorful, happiest nursery we can -- we got our glider!!! We ordered it a couple of months ago, so we were elated to get a call today that it was ready to be picked up. I drove our newly-repaired vehicle across DFW to the warehouse to pick it up (no waiting for the extra delivery for me - I wanted to see it!). Ninety minutes later, Jon had it unloaded, assembled, and in the nursery. We're both thrilled with how it turned out -- it's a perfect fit for the room.

It looks pink, but it's actually red, green, yellow, and blue plaid.

Since the chair is finally in its rightful location, we were finally able to hang our animal prints on the wall... Half of the room is done!! It feels good to make a little more progress!

Other than that, the week has been pretty uneventful. However, Max's week has apparently been a pretty interesting party. Our little guy is kicking and punching and turning and jumping all over the place (not always in a good way). He's also decided that I needed some more pregnancy symptoms, so he's added heartburn to my daily schedule. It's not too bad. It just reminds me that he's growing and we're getting just a little bit closer to his arrival.

The nursery is looking absolutely beautiful! And while I'm sorry you're having heartburn, I'm so glad Max is growing!

Tammy:

Your nursery is absolutely adorable! Max's arrival will be here before you know it, November is just around the corner. I can't wait to meet him! Love you!
