According to Wikipedia, the metric expansion of space is a key part of science's current understanding of the universe, whereby spacetime itself is described by a metric which changes over time in such a way that the spatial dimensions appear to grow or stretch as the universe gets older. This fact provides little comfort to my poor wife, who currently appears to be growing or stretching as Max gets older. You'll pay for this, science!
It's been an exciting couple of weeks. The nursery is prepped, desks and treadmills and arcade machines have been eliminated, and we grow ever closer to the point where we can both feel the kicking. No, Christy, I'm not 100% sure I actually felt it that time. We'll keep trying. ;)

There's still much left to do, with the upcoming baby showers, baby care classes, babyproofing, and purchasing of mass quantities of McDonald's bags. Hang in there, Max, you're going to loooove this broccoli when you can eat solid foods.
