As Jon said, we both had a great time at our Dallas shower! Everyone spoiled us (and Max) totally rotten! :) Thanks again to everyone!
As we are a mere 7 weeks from our (hopeful) estimated induction date, I figured I'd give you an update on how Max and I are doing.
I can definitely tell Max is growing these days! Besides the fact that I've been EXHAUSTED the last week or so, today he decided to roll over (I think), which caused my entire body to shift. It was honestly the oddest feeling in the world, but really cool at the same time. We go in on Friday for an ultrasound to check his growth, so we'll see just how well he's progressing.
As for me, I'm still fighting Phase 3 of my cold (the insane, annoying coughing). It's been about 10 days or so, so I'm hoping it'll decide to leave me soon. I'm sure Max would like the random thunderbooms and earthquakes to stop as well! Jon's also starting to develop a sympathy cough, so I think it'll be better for all of us if I can get over this sooner rather than later.
After what seems like forever (more like a couple of years), I'm now finally off of the Metformin I was taking for PCOS. Our doctor said that we could take it until around 36 weeks, but my pregnant brain forgot to take last night's dose. When I called this morning to let them know, she said I could stop it early, since we're so close. It's going to be odd not taking pills at 6pm every day. It's kinda like when we finally stopped the shots earlier in the pregnancy... You consider it a hassle when you first start doing it, but then you get used to it, until you feel like you're missing something when you stop. It'll be interesting to see what it is like to just have a few "normal" weeks of pregnancy.
As much as I want the next 6-7 weeks to fly by, I'm also looking forward to this last bit of quiet time before the craziness kicks in. We still have a few busy weekends ahead of us - newborn care class, the Houston shower, and October birthday weekend (Jayden & Casen's birthday party, and squeezing in Dad B's birthday in there somewhere as well). We're both just bummed that we'll miss Emma's first birthday, but luckily we'll get to see her the weekend before, so we can spoil her rotten then instead! So, October will be crazy, but then we'll have a few weekends of absolutely nothing to relax and stockpile a little sleep before the big day arrives!
We're in the home stretch now!
