Labor Day Weekend

Unfortunately, I still haven't had a chance to get all of that video together. Maybe sometime later this week. Max has had a somewhat uneventful time this week, but we did manage to snap some good photos and had a good time with our visit to Sherman for Mimi's birthday.

Max is continuing to master his crawling and cruising, but hasn't quite figured out his balance yet. It also seems that his toys are no longer as interesting as crawling over and trying to climb up our legs. For a while there it seemed like he was really interested in visiting me by standing up next to the computer chair, but it turns out it had nothing to do with me. If you put him within eyeshot of the thing he'll immediately start trying to get to it and climb all over it.

To think of all the time we spent thoughtfully selecting toys for him.

What are you talking about, old man? I love my toys.

See? Look how excited I am about all these colorful balls!

He did seem to have fun up in Sherman, though.

I'm going to pretend to hand you a ball, but listen...I'm digging a hole over here with a spoon I stashed in my diaper. The crow flies south at midnight.

No funny caption here, we just like this photo of Max with his Pappaw.

You okay in there, buddy? (Only my father will get that joke)

The birthday girl, of course, gets all sorts of fancy adornments.

Max, on the other hand, just has to make do with what he can find for entertainment.

Christy loves it when he does this.

So, a happy birthday to Mimi and a good time had by all. You can see the rest of the photos from this week by clicking here.

I'll try to get those videos up if I can find the time this week. Have a good one, everybody!
