Something's...missing...

It's been a very weird week for all of us in the Larkin household. Some things have changed, some things...well, they'll never change.

Thing that hasn't changed...Max is funny.

I will reach this thing, whatever it is.

He remains funny during his monthly photo sessions.

I'm sorry, did you want me to sit up?

But then, something changed.

No, not the addition of an Xbox controller to the monthly photo lineup.

Hrm...

Max?

Yes?

Where did your hair go?

Some lady took it.

Yep. First haircut. I don't understand why, but it seems like he grew up overnight. Christy and I are having a tough time adjusting to him not being a little baby anymore. I'm guessing it doesn't get any easier from here. At least he was a good sport about it.

This was as fussy as he got. It didn't last long.

One last look at the long hair...

Then, on with the snipping.

He spent a lot of time looking over at a little girl...who screamed through her entire haircut.

Oof, so short.

It's going to take some time to get used to, but I guess we'll manage.

Meanwhile, he's getting more and more used to walking around. He's taken a liking to the family room (outside the baby cage), where he can bounce around from TV stand to couch to curio shelf to ottoman to TV stand like a pinball. Walking is apparently very fun when you can shuttle remotes back and forth from place to place.

Well, that's pretty much it for us this week. Have a good one!

He is soooo... cute. I'll miss the curls though.
