According to our blog software, this will be the 100th post we've made on this blog. In that many posts, we've run through the full gamut of this process. From relief to excitement to anticipation to arrival, then right on through to the outright exhaustion we're currently dealing with.
It's been a heck of a ride, and we're just getting started. Here's to a hundred more of these things that we'll use as evidence in the inevitable event that Max asks us for anything. Ever.
After running a 103 degree temperature all last week (not that he noticed, thankfully), Max spent a little time showing us a few new tricks.

(Papa will get that one, at least)

He also spent the weekend hanging out with Nan, which they both seemed to enjoy quite a bit.

A good time had by all, and I actually managed to get the photos up in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe we're getting back in the swing of things better than I'd thought.
The last piece of random news I'll share before closing this up is that Max has apparently learned some new signs. He learned to say "down" (and raise his hands up above his head before bringing them down) whenever he hears "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". He also learned sign language for "more", but has decided that it actually means "I want". We know this because he signs "more" and points to things to demand that they be brought to him (or else).
All of that came together the other night when Christy was singing to him before bedtime. He was laying on her, but decided to sit up, sign "more", then say "down" (with the associated hands above head sign). As far as Christy was concerned, that qualifies as his first musical request. I hope that he uses this power only for good and not evil.
To view the rest of the photos from this week's set (not many of them), you can click here. Tomorrow we'll resume our video posts, which hopefully everyone is enjoying so far. See you then!
