Looks like we went and missed another week of blog posting, which means there's a lot to catch up on. I guess we'll start from the beginning.
Two weekends ago Max took a trip out to the aquarium with his buddy Mikey. Those two were running all over the place trying to get a look at all the wildlife.

Unfortunately, the lighting (and the fact that we were wrangling these kids) meant that it was tough to get a photo of both of them. This was about all we could manage:

We also managed to get a decent one of the family, with similar lighting conditions.

After all of that fun, we started the process of trying to upgrade Max's room a bit. The results speak for themselves.

Couldn't have a little fun without making him earn his keep around here, though.

Which brings us to this weekend, when we got a lovely visit from Nan...

On Tuesday of last week, we finally got the go-ahead for swim time from the doctor (we don't have a photo of his hand this week...it's remarkably unremarkable at this point). That meant that Nan got to join Max for his first pool day in nearly a month. Despite our assumption that he'd be a bit timid about it, he strode right into the pool and made a beeline across the shallow end over to the shelf that separates it from the deep end.

Nan even taught him a nice new trick to do in the pool.

Having distracted everyone with new tricks, he proceeded to steal things.

I'd say a good time was had by all. Many thanks go out to Nan for letting Christy and I get a date in for what might be the last time before little Owen is born.
Speaking of which...
We've been fairly lax on the Owen updates during the course of the pregnancy. Given that we have Max to occupy our time I guess that's not so surprising. We'll have a little bit of an update on the little guy later in the week (I need to get the scanner out). What we have for now is some photos of the new nursery. Max, of course, was happy to help get them taken.

The closet is still hiding the last of my packratted electronic equipment, but I'm sure we can move that stuff somewhere within the next three weeks or so.
Three weeks.
Yikes.
If you want to see the rest of the photos from the last two weeks, you can hit up any of the sets we uploaded today. There's the aquarium, Max's big boy stuff, the Nan visit, and Owen's nursery (should you be inclined to see some larger photos).
Hopefully that'll make up for the two week gap from the last blog. We'll try to get that other Owen post up sometime soon.
