To the Outdoors!

Tonight's episode of catch-up theater brings us to the first week of March. After all the wacky snow and the seemingly unending cold weather we finally had a weekend with a couple of days of decent weather. Thus, we took to the streets.

Well, we did after this guy got finished cuteing up Max's bed.

Yes, he's found his toes. His socks rarely stay on anymore.

We started with a trip to the park, where Max has mastered the art of climbing onto the play equipment on his own. That means lots of this.

Again!

We also managed to get the little guy out of the stroller for some first-time park action.

I assure you that he is enthralled.

This meant that he got a chance to have some fun with Mommy.

…and Max. Again, totally excited about this.

One more time?

The weather held out for us on Saturday, so we decided to use our afternoon to make use of our Christmas gift from Nan and Papa. Max seemed to enjoy himself at the "Flower Park".

Christy thought we should buy him a pinwheel.

Which means daddy gets to take artsy photos.

Did I mention that we grabbed some shades for Owen on the way there?

And a hat. Sweet.

He didn't stay sitting up for long.

…except when he was in the stroller.

This took about 80 shots and 5 Owen fall-overs.

Didn't seem to make him too unhappy.

As we mentioned in the last post, Max's nap schedule continues to take a beating on the weekends. We'd hoped that Max would sleep on the way to the arboretum. He opted to wait for the ride home.

Trust me, this is a very rare sight.

Thanks again, Nan and Papa! We'll certainly be making use of our passes as the weather gets nicer. I'm sure we'll have a full collection of pinwheels by the end of the year.

Of course, these weekends always end the same way. Back at home, hanging out with the boys, trying to get ready for another week...

…trying to keep Max from suffocating his brother with a dog rattle…

Yep.
