It's spring. Birds are chirping, insects are buzzing, and pinkeye has come again to the Larkin household. Thankfully, Max chose to hold off the infection until Friday so we didn't wind up missing work to wrangle both him and his brother for several days. Aside from that, it was a pretty good week. Stick with us through the end, we may have a surprise for you.
It starts, as many of our weeks do, with a couch.
It continued with more skill acquisition for the little guy.
Then it drew near its close with Max's aforementioned illness. Illnesses mean staying home from school. Staying home from school means a little more leeway on attire.
Surprisingly enough, aside from the eyedrops (which, based on Max's fighting their application, are made mostly from battery acid and lemon juice), he was a pretty happy guy throughout the process.
Owen got in on the action, too. His sitting is proving to be a great asset to his access to toys.
That night we headed out for a meal and wound up sitting outside for a quick yogurt-based dessert. This presented us with plenty of opportunities to take photos.
Christy demanded that I hold Owen aloft so you could all see what his hair was doing in the mild wind that evening.
Special thanks go out to Mimi and Pappaw, whose timely visit over the weekend enabled us to hang an extraordinary amount of random stuff on our walls. The house is finally starting to look lived in thanks to a few hours of not having to chase kids around.
After all was said and done, we settled back in to finish out the week. We somehow managed to wind up right back where we started.
And that's it for the week.
Oh, right. Surprise!
Big Giant Rock
You do something once as throw-away entertainment, and suddenly it becomes a fixture game in the house. Max calls this "big giant rock" because when I hide under the sheet it resembles...a big giant rock...not sure if I should be offended or not about being called "big giant".
Laughter
Turns out Owen likes taking baths with his big brother. So much so that our neighbors are probably going to wind up calling CPS on us.
That's it for this week! If you want to see the rest of the photos from this week, you can click here. Have a good week, everyone!

These are hysterical..It appears that Owen might be a natural vantriliquist..you can see his expression or mouth change but his giggling does.
