A week late, but better than never. As of last week, the little guy is 9 months old. Life continues to grow increasingly interesting as the little guy's development moves along. Turns out he's not too different from his big brother.
He's still working hard to find just the right combination of facial muscles to attain maximum cuteness.
While not focused on that, he's spending most of his time practicing his crawling stance.
Compared to his brother, he's a little behind on the standing bit, though that's certainly not for a lack of trying. One must simply wear pants around him to find out how much he wishes to be bipedal. Boy's got some mad pant leg climbing skills.
As is our tradition, we settled him in for his monthly photo session in The Chair.
As you can see, he's getting just as fidgety as his brother was at that stage.
It's actually sort of a good thing that we were behind on our posting, because now we have the official word from the doctor on this guy's measurements.
Height: 30 inches (95-97%)
Head: 18 inches (75%)
Weight: 19 pounds 13 ounces (25-50%)
Pretty much right on par with his big brother, but a tiny bit taller. Still just as tough as his brother, seeing as he only cried for a few seconds after the shot. Aside from that, at this point we've moved up to stage 3 chunky foods, with some attempts to get him to eat some little cereal puffs. He seems to enjoy picking up and looking at them, but apparently it's the only thing he will not put in his mouth. Toys, spoons, my fingers, remotes, controllers...all of them, in the mouth. Cereal...no. It's like he knows.
Sippy cups are a challenge of a different sort. He knows how to use them, but not how to control the process. The general end game is that he gets a little drink along with a generous shower. While amusing, this is not the sought after end result.
Amazingly enough, despite all this crazy we somehow managed to capture and process a number of videos to celebrate this occasion. They represent a little taste of life in our household.
Mama
He can do it, but he's a stinker about it.
Crawling
Well, sort of.
Bed
Sometimes we have a really long day. Then we try to put the boys to bed and something like this happens. Then we stay up a little later.
If you want to check out where Max was at this point, you can look here and here. To see the rest of the photos from Owen's 9 month session, click here.
Almost caught up. Guess we'll see if I can get another one finished this week.
