DOOOOOOOOOOM!

We were having a conversation about keeping things up to date around here, and my lovely wife mentioned to me that in my attempt to capture Owen's 11 month blog I somehow managed to neglect everything else that happened two weeks ago. Clearly this issue must be rectified immediately.

Of course this means that I'm now behind again, but what else is new?

We'll begin with the doooooOOOOOOOOOM!

After 11 months of hard work, Owen finally managed to grow enough hair to reach his eyes. This of course meant that he would be forced to endure his latest rite of passage.

What exactly are we doing here?

Noooooo! Spray bottles are my weakness!

No photo we took summed it up better than this one.

Meanwhile, in peaceful bubble land…

Amazingly enough, the bubbles seemed to calm him down a bit.

The aftermath.

Then, of course, there's the other kid.

Yep. Me!

That weekend we went to what we thought was his last week of Little Gym (turns out we had a week left). Due to that mistaken impression, we decided to snap a bunch of photos of the big guy during his "last" foray into the gym.

Circle time, just about the only low-movement time we have.

No idea what happened with the lighting, but that is an impressive wheelbarrow.

Hey, where did you come from?

P1010135.JPG
Hooray! Daddy finally shows up in a photo. Now back to my months in seclusion behind the lens.

Somehow managed to get a good one of him swinging.

And at the end…bubbles.

We closed out the week with what has become our new standard. Used to be we'd take off from Little Gym and head to Max's favorite deli. Until recently, this didn't seem to be a palatable option for Owen, so we've modified our routine to include a little barbecue.

Turkey! Rolls! Hooray!

Max likes the turkey, but he still must display his faux disappointment.

Pretty good week, I'd say. Now we just have to figure out what to do with our Saturday mornings from here on out.
