It's a New Year, but things feel pretty much like the old year, which is to say we're way behind on updating this thing again. Excuses? We have plenty of them, ranging from bronchitis to a problematic iPhoto library. Now that we're all healthy (including the machine), perhaps we can get ourselves caught up. We'll start with the week before Christmas, which was a nice soft intro for the crazy to come.

Continuing our catch-up posting, we've come to the event Max has been waiting for over the last several months. This is the first Christmas where he really started to get Santa Claus, and the first one where Owen gets much of anything. This combination generated plenty of amusement for all involved, and allowed us to start inventing some family traditions for the future.

Christy is always telling me that I should just skip a week here or there when we're trying to catch up on this thing. I always respond that we've always done one post a week and we should try to keep doing that.

Then I looked at our photos for our catch-up process for the week. Turns out we took a total of five photos during the week when we were both sick, only two of which seemed like keepers. My choice was to make a post about two photos and describe our illnesses in excruciating detail or lump two weeks together.

So lump I shall.

We're still a week behind on our posting, but we're hoping to get caught up this week and perhaps even get some video out there for your viewing pleasure. When I reviewed the photos for this post, it turns out we actually didn't take a single photo of Max. He shows up in some video, but the only time he shows up in a photo is as an extra in the background.

I suppose it's only fair that Owen get a post all to himself, seeing as Max has dozens of them from before his brother came along.

Finally, an on-time post. As with the last few weeks, our actual week consisted of us mostly going through the normal routine. School, work, food, sleep, repeat. This didn't give us a lot of opportunities for photos, but luckily we have the weekend for that.

We'll begin our week-long video blogging by showing you what the little guy has been up to. He's been a constant source of entertainment around here, and it's high time we shared some of that with our loyal readers.

Owen got his chance to show off yesterday, so today we'll give Max some time in the spotlight.

Somehow I forgot to put the post up last night, but I'll make up for it by putting in some weekend work for you. Today we'll be presenting sort of a grab bag of videos that I've loosely identified as out of town or in the car movies.
