The kids have "Fun Fridays" at school with different themes each week. Last week, Fun Friday was silly hair day in Owen's class.

I believe we have achieved an appropriate level of silly.

Once we went through our typical Saturday routine with the pool and the gym and the naps, we noticed that it was nice enough outside for us to actually go to the park for the first time since last year.

Max seemed happy about it.

The boys did a good job of splitting up and terrifying me (Christy was resting at home), and Owen surprised me with his acrobatic prowess.

As far as he's concerned, this is how a slide is supposed to work.

On Sunday we headed out to Sherman for a bit of time with the family.

I promise you he was happier than this most of the time we were there. Swear.

The kids assembled all these boxes, and this is as clear a shot as I could get of them jumping behind them.

The stack was turned into a fort. Blakeley thought it was hilarious that I was in there at all.

I thought Max would think it was funny to be in there, but he almost immediately requested to get down.

I'd really rather you not play in the sandb…oh, alright.

This is what happens when you interrupt him and ask him to smile for you.

It was nice to see all the family, and the kids had a great time playing together. Owen even scored a couple of Cheetos off Mimi while mom and dad weren't watching. She would have gotten away with it, too, if I hadn't spotted the orange flecks on his lips when I put him in the car.
