Every once in a while we have one of those weeks where things are so busy and our list of activities is so short that we only manage to snap a few photos of the kids. This is one of those weeks.
There may not be many photos, but we did see a lot of new activity from the kids this week. I'm jumping the gun a bit on one of Owen's behaviors (it happened this week, not last week), but I can't help but share it tonight. We were sitting at the table for breakfast and Owen and I were trading silly faces (as he enjoys doing quite often) and after he finished laughing he said, "Daddy's funny."
Based on my relationship with my dad, I'm guessing I have about 5 more years of that sentiment. I will try to enjoy every second of it.
He's also showing off more and more of his musical side, as he often sings his ABCs all the way through, though with a little mumbling. He tries to copy his brother whenever he hears him singing something, and did a pretty good mimic of a months of the year song recently. He's also taken to parking himself on a chair or couch and patting it, demanding that we "Sit down" next to him.
Max has also been giving us a run for our money with extreme amounts of politeness. He seems to believe that he can have whatever he likes so long as he's polite about it. We'll have to find the right balance between giving him everything he wants and losing this polite streak for good.
Anyhow, onward with the photos. I'll just go ahead and lay them all out since there are so few.
We begin with what is becoming Owen's favorite after-dinner treat. Every once in a while we go someplace that gives out packets a certain creme-filled cookie that he seems to find enjoyable.
The only other photo-worthy thing we did was take a trip to the park over the weekend. The boys really seemed to enjoy themselves.
That'll do it. All these photos were taken with Christy's camera, which doubles as our camcorder. Turns out we have a giant cache of videos on there that we never posted, so it's entirely possible that next week will be a big video week. Here's hoping I find the time to make it happen.

So, what you are saying is, I haven't been funny since 1987?
