We're now recovering from Owen's birthday party (more on that next time) and I'm just now finding some time to get one of these done. Last week we celebrated Mimi's birthday party, which meant a trip up to Sherman and a bit of a wardrobe change.
So we spent the afternoon hanging out with the family for this 60s theme party.
Then we got ourselves out of the house for a little bit. The weather was still pretty warm, but the kids didn't seem to mind.
Owen and Max ran around the backyard sliding and messing around in the sandbox for the rest of the afternoon. At one point we got out Tanner's ride-on tractor and let the kids ride around the yard. Unfortunately, the battery was a bit low so it didn't last long. Didn't take long for the mechanics to get on the job.
Once we were all well and truly exhausted, we headed out to prepare for a nice lazy Sunday. When we woke up, though, we found that the temperature was so nice that we couldn't just waste it. After months of 100+ degree days, it was finally nice enough for us to enjoy some real time outside.
We hung out at the park for a little bit, then we took a drive over to the lake so Max could get back to one of his favorite activities.
A crazy weekend, but certainly an entertaining one. For more photos of filthy hippies, you can click here. If you're looking for something with a little more motion, I managed to get a video together for you.
Air Hockey
Too bad we don't have room in the house for one of these.
Have a good week, everyone!
