We were all ready to get a regularly-scheduled blog post in last week when disaster struck. Somehow Christy and I (but luckily not the boys) came down with a bout of food poisoning that put us out of commission for a few days. We're past all that now, so we can get back to our irregular update schedule. The week before all that, we had a mostly uneventful week with a slightly more eventful weekend.
I really only took one photo at home, and I did so as quickly as possible so I could catch Owen.
So far as I can tell, he started off wanting me to put the tortilla in the sock puppet dog's mouth so the sock puppet dog could eat it. Then he decided he wanted the sock puppet dog to share his tortilla.
The weekend arrived and we realized we had an unused coupon for a somewhat nearby ranch. We'd been planning on taking the kids out there for a while and the weather was finally perfect for it. Both of them did surprisingly well.
We proceeded through another pen where the boys gawked at (but didn't get a chance to pet) various species of deer. After that, it was on to check out some exciting exotics.
The kids also got a chance to see some smaller animals up close.
They were super excited about that last one, and harassed him relentlessly until he flew away.
After all the excitement and some vigorous hand-washing, we took the kids out for some lunch and decided to just relax the rest of the weekend.
We did, however, capture some of their nighttime behavior for your entertainment.
