We're creeping up on an on-time post again, I can just feel it. Now that we're fully recovered from all of our Thanksgiving shenanigans and I've sorted through all the photos, we can finally do this thing. Oddly enough, it seems like we're picking up right where we left off last time.
Once we were finished experimenting with self-trepanation, it was time to start getting ready for Thanksgiving. Christy continued in her long tradition by making dressing. Thankfully she had a bit more help this year.
Once we'd baked our pies and made our stuffing and baked several dozen rolls, we made our way up to Sherman.
As with most years, we got a bit of sleep then woke up bright and early to make the trek down to Houston. When we arrived, we unloaded the car and brought in the usual batch of toys for the kids to play with.
Of course, that was destined not to last seeing as there was a giant bounce house out in the backyard.
The rest of the afternoon was spent goofing off and playing with the cousins.
We also took the time with the kids as an opportunity for some more craft projects.
Not long after, we headed off to bed so we could prepare for the rigors of the next day.
Before Christy and I headed out for a nice evening, we spent one last bit of time watching them make some cookies with Papa.
We ended the weekend with a nice easy Sunday.
Then we drove back home, unpacked everything, and collapsed in a heap. Yet another successful holiday weekend for the family.
